⚠ WARNING — TO PREVENT FIRE AND SERIOUS INJURY
- Burn candle within sight. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
- Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets.
- Trim wick to 1/4 inch before each use. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Keep the flame away from drafts and do not let it touch the sides of the container.
- Stop use when 1/2 inch of wax remains.
- Burn on a heat-resistant surface. The container may become hot.
Getting the best from your candle
- First burn: let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar, usually 2 to 3 hours, so it burns evenly and does not tunnel.
- Every time: trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting. Keep the surface of the wax free of wick trimmings, matches and debris.
- Extinguishing: use a snuffer or put the lid on. Do not blow hard or use water.
- Storage: keep candles out of direct sun and heat, with the lid on.
- Containers: do not move a candle while it is lit or while the wax is liquid. Let the jar cool before touching it.
- Finished: stop when 1/2 inch of wax remains. Never reuse a jar as a candle holder with flame once the candle is finished.
If something goes wrong
If the flame is unusually large, the jar cracks, or there is heavy smoke, put the candle out safely (use the lid, never water) and stop using it. Contact us with a photo and the lot number on the bottom of the jar.
